All Blu pieces are made from stoneware clay. While stoneware is dishwasher safe, it's always a good idea to handwash your pottery to ensure that it lasts a lifetime. That being said - sometimes our hands need a break and stoneware is pretty tough, so the odd trip through the dishwasher won't hurt your pottery.

Please try to avoid any drastic temperature changes. If your pottery goes from extremely cold to extremely hot (or vice versa) there is a chance that your piece may crack.

If your piece has gold on it, it is NOT dishwasher safe. It is best to hand wash these pieces so the gold does not become dull, and stays shining forever.

It is best to keep all pottery out of the microwave. If your piece has gold on it, it MUST stay out of the microwave. The gold would react the same way a metal utensil would if put in the microwave.
