Come join me in my home studio (located in Cobourg) for an evening pottery class where you will experience throwing your very own  pottery.

If you and a partner are coming as a pair, please make sure to pick the two available time slots on the date that works for you. You can arrive at the same time and spend the duration of both time slots (2 hrs) in the studio. Because of the size of the studio, having multiple people can feel a bit full so I would suggest a maximum group of two.

Once you have booked and paid for your class, I will send you an email within 24 hrs confirming your class and studio address.

Things to note before your pottery class:

• Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little messy. We will be working with white clay (unless requested otherwise) which does not stain clothing. However it's always a good idea to wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little clay on. Please feel free to dress in whatever makes you comfortable.

• It can be hard to do pottery when you have long nails. To make the experience a little bit easier, I would suggest to come to class with short nails if that possible for you. If not, no worries. It may just a bit tougher to form your piece.

What to expect:

• You will have 5lbs of clay to work with (for reference, a mug takes about 2.5lbs of clay) so you can make multiple pieces in one class. Once your pieces are thrown, you can choose your glaze color(s). Within 4 weeks, your piece will be ready for pickup.

Shit happens… Pottery can be an incredibly unpredictable medium. From clay cracks, kiln mishaps and glaze bubbles, pieces can go from perfect to not so perfect in the blink of an eye. In the unlikely event that something happens to your work during the production stages, I will reach out to you via email and refund you 10% for each broken piece.

Care Instructions

While stoneware is dishwasher safe, it's always a good idea to handwash your pottery to ensure that it lasts a lifetime. That being said - sometimes our hands need a break and stoneware is pretty tough, so the odd trip through the dishwasher won't hurt your pottery.
